I'm a self-obsessed nerd who believes that technology is the ultimate playground for problem solvers. As an IT professional & home labber, my passions intersect with complex systems - and by extension, my career.

Professionally, I manage the entire international IT operation for Onyx Insight Ltd: overseeing cyber security, cloud strategy (MS Azure/Cloud), budgeting, procurement, IT team and core infrastructure.

But where my true enthusiasm lies is in the open-source domain.

My homelab—a self-contained comms cabinet masterpiece—is my sandbox for mastering Linux, Docker, advanced networking, and keeping every system secure.

Simply put: If it runs on code or wires, I want to understand how it works (and make it better).

Virtual Infrastructure

My specialization is robust virtualization management. With experience across enterprise hypervisors like VMware ESXi and Hyper-V, I ensure optimal platform selection for any given complexity. 

To date, I have deployed a highly redundant Proxmox VE cluster on my homelab nodes. This provides comprehensive services: core network automation, specialized OS environments, and advanced storage solutions.

Microsoft IAM & Endpoint

My core expertise is in Identity & Access Management (IAM) using Microsoft Entra ID and Endpoint Manager. 

I specialize in end-to-end modernization, managing complex transitions from on-prem Domain Controllers to pure cloud models. This includes implementing modern standards like SSO, Autopilot deployment across diverse endpoints (macOS/Windows), comprehensive CVE patching, and streamlined application deployment.

Networking & Infrastructure

My networking expertise spans standards such as platforms like Meraki and UniFi. I thrive on building comprehensive, secure ecosystems—from deploying unified Wi-Fi to integrating physical security and user identity management. I am always pushing the boundaries, continually optimizing networks from professional environments down into my personal homelab setup.

Linux Operating System

I specialize in Linux infrastructure management via Proxmox VE clustering. My homelab is a comprehensive testing environment where I build and monitor complex, containerized services. This includes integrating critical systems like secure remote access (Twingate), advanced edge routing/DNS, robust documentation (Confluence), and specialized automation platforms.

Cyber Security Architecture

I specialize in establishing robust Security Operations (SecOps) and hardening infrastructure using leading platforms like Sophos, Zscaler, and Wazuh. My experience involves implementing layered defenses—from Zero Trust networking to deep vulnerability monitoring. Furthermore, I manage the entire lifecycle of operational security by automating patch deployment, risk remediation (Automox), and continuous compliance validation.

This includes standardized resource deployment, managing cross-cultural team dynamics, and ensuring operational excellence while adhering to diverse regional legal and technical requirements.

Automation & Scripting

Automation is the foundation of efficiency. I specialize in automating repetitive and complex infrastructure tasks—from initial system provisioning to continuous monitoring and remediation. By leveraging scripting (PowerShell), AI and dedicated tools (such as N8N), I automate workflows that improve consistency, reduce human error, and significantly decrease operational overhead across the entire stack.
